The governor of Anambra state Willie Obiano has once again proven that he is indeed a murderer. First he murdered Biafrans at Nkpor and Onitsha in 2016 and today he has unleashed the combined security forces of the Nigerian army and the Nigerian Police on unarmed civilian population of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in Ekwuluobia in Anambra state. Under the watch of Willie Obiano the marauding Fulani Herdsmen are having a field day in Anambra state to the extent that people can no longer attend church services as their security is not guaranteed even in places of worship. Willie Obiano in order not to jeopardize his political ambition of continuing as the governor of Anambra state has made a deliberate decision to waste the blood of Biafran youths and has connived with the Anambra state police command under police commissioner Garba Baba Umar a Fulani to cover up last week’s killing of our people at St Phillip’s Catholic Church Ozubulu by Fulani/Boko Haram terrorists.
The Directorate of State of the Indigenous People of Biafra under the leadership of Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu do hereby alert the International community that the Nigerian government in collaboration with the Anambra state government under Willie Obiano has concluded plans for an unprecedented massacre of non violent Biafran agitators. With today’s killing of unarmed and peaceful Indigenous People of Biafra in Ekwuluobia, Willie Obiano is hell bent on turning Anambra state into a killing field of Biafran youths. We alert the international community, human rights organization, and all people of conscience to hold the Anambra state governor Willie Obiano accountable if there should be any breakdown of law and order in the state.
The International community needs to understand the game plan of the Nigerian government which is to precipitate crisis in Nigeria to deflect attention away from the inevitable succession of Yemi Osinbajo as the substantive president. They are desperately fermenting trouble all over the country in order to derail this eventuality. The world must take note that Arewa youths match unmolested with police escorts on the streets of Abuja. These Arewa youths also violently attacked a peaceful rally in the same Abuja that they were allowed police escort for their own demonstration. When the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) peacefully exercise their fundamental right to assembly the army and the police will roll out their tanks and all manner of weapons to mow them down in cold blood because the Nigerian state has deliberately and effectively established an exclusively Hausa Fulani officers that now command the armed forces, the Police and other security apparatus in Anambra State.The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) under the leadership of Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will protect and continue to exercise its right to freedom of association and assembly. We have carried out all our activities peacefully and in accordance with universally accepted rules and norms and will continue to pursue our right to Self-determination peacefully. We urge the International community and world leaders to call Willie Obiano the Anambra state governor to order before he turns Anambra state into a killing field.
