IPOB Press Release
March 07 2025 | IPOB
The global family and the movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) worldwide wish to lend our voice in support of the protest embarked on by the women of Eha Amufu in Isi Uzo Local Government of Enugu State who are the victims of rapes, murders and other attacks at the hands of the Fulani terrorists’ herdsmen. Every concerned Igbo person should join the push to discourage the unholy romance between the Enugu State Governor and the Fulani terrorists to avoid mass murders, rapes and the dehumanization going on in Enugu State.
IPOB had in the past warned Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah to stop the unholy romance or alliance with the Fulani terrorists nicknamed herdsmen and their sponsors in the North. No responsible governor will pally with murderous terrorists like Peter Mbah is doing. His focus should have been to take a drastic action to deter the marauding terrorists. You don’t pacify terrorists but instead must deter them with forceful actions. Unfortunately, in Nigeria, the government chooses to befriend and pay the terrorists millions of dollars to pacify them, and we think it is to encourage and sustain their activities against the Nigerian people.
The actions of the Nigerian government have emboldened the Fulani terrorists to launch bloody attacks and the killings of thousands of Indigenous People in Nigeria while the same Nigerian government manhandles and humiliates an innocent and peaceful freedom fighter, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB members and Biafrans in general. This is the reason Nigeria has remained among the top countries that are terrorized (#6) according to the Global Terrorism Index report of 2020 to 2024.
The Enugu State Governor should think outside the box on how to secure the lives and properties of Enugu citizens against Fulani terrorists, instead of coarsening and sending a delegation of some Enugu Traditional Rulers to the Head of the Caliphate in Sokoto, the Sultan of Sokoto to beg for a peaceful coexistence with these murderous foot-soldiers called Fulani (terrorist) herdsmen. Ndigbo has nothing in common with these marauding Fulani terrorists and we shall never cohabit with them, particularly those terrorists inside our forests and bushes. They are nothing but terrorists, kidnappers, rapists and blood sucking demons. They are evil!
Dr. Peter Mbah is an Igbo man from Nkanu, but he is not behaving like an Igbo man at all. He wilfully exposes Enugu people to terrorist attacks just to please his Fulani political Masters. No right-thinking Igbo man, let alone a leader, will watch and do nothing when Igbo women are constantly being attacked, murdered, raped and dehumanized by invaders. The women from Eha Amufu have protested for two days, demanding for Governor Peter Mbah to address their pitiful situation in the hands of the Fulani terrorists. Unfortunately, the governor has refused to address the peaceful protesting mothers in order to not offend his Fulani Masters.
Sadly, some of Governor Mbah’s political appointees insulted the traumatized mothers protesting as being sponsored by the governor’s political enemies. What a shame? How can Igbo women be paid to say that they have been raped? One wonders what exactly is wrong with Governor Peter Mbah and his political circle? They speak as if they are not in Enugu State to have witnessed the terrorist attacks from the Fulani terrorists. Governor Peter Mbah has to address the concerns of our women, our mothers and daughters by addressing the protesters, and ensuring that Fulani terrorists nicknamed herdsmen do not engage in any open grazing in Enugu State. The governor should treat any armed Fulani herder as a terrorist. Open grazing is banned in the South East Region. Therefore, no Fulani terrorist is expected to engage in open grazing in the South East Region.
IPOB will resist any attempt to establish any Fulani settlement in whatever disguise in Enugu State or in any other state in Igbo Land. IPOB will support every Agric project implementation, including ranching that will be solely owned and managed by Ndigbo. Those Traditional and Religious leaders conniving with Dr. Peter Mbah’s government to undermine the security and safety of Ndigbo in general and Enugu women in particular should retrace their steps. They should learn from the destruction of lives and properties associated with the same Fulani terrorists in the northern part of Nigeria and the Middle Belt Region, even in other West African countries. Fulani terrorists are the fourth most dangerous terrorist group, according to the US Terrorism Index.
They are bad omen to their host. If drastic decisions are not made to dislodge the marauding Fulani terrorists that have massacred people of the Eha Amufu community in the past, they may consolidate and become a serious threat to the entire Igbo Nation. IPOB and ESN will ensure that Fulani terrorists do not occupy or take over any community in the South East Region. IPOB needs the cooperation and the support of Ndigbo to be able to secure our region against the dreaded Fulani terrorists. We commend those who organised this protest. To show you that Dr. Peter Mbah is not happy that they organised the protest to chase his fellow terrorists out. He has not shown up to address the women protesters.
In conclusion, IPOB worldwide supports the courageous and peaceful protest by the Eha Amufu women who are demanding an end to Fulani terrorists’ attacks, murders, rapes and brutalization of the women of the community. All hands must be on the deck to demand that Governor Peter Mbah stop playing ostrich while Fulani terrorists, rape, murder, kidnap, and dehumanize our women while he goes about romancing with the Fulani Caliphate.
