Anxiety Regarding Disclosure Of Fulani Terrorist Actions In Nigeria, Sultan Of Sokoto Urges For Social Media Ban As A Terrorist Entity – IPOB

IPOB Press Release

April 17 2025 | IPOB

The worldwide family and movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) strongly denounce the absurd remark made by the Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar Muhammadu, who referred to social media in Nigeria as a terrorist organization and demanded its criminalization.

There’s a saying that goes a clear conscience has nothing to fear from accusations. There’s another saying that states an evil person flees even when no one is pursuing him. The absurd remark made by the Islamic leader in Nigeria, the Sultan of Sokoto and a Fulani Grand patron, indicates that he is in a state of panic regarding the revelation of Fulani terrorist actions through social media.

The unyielding and violent attacks by the Fulani terrorists have plunged numerous Nigerians, especially within the Christian communities, into a state of deep sorrow. The Fulani terrorists have taken the lives of thousands in Nigeria over the past ten years.

Regrettably, the main supporter of the aggressive Fulani terrorists has never denounced the violent Fulani murderers and kidnappers. He is simply worried that the victims are utilizing social media to reveal to the world who the actual terrorists are.

Fulani groups led by the Shaitan of Sokoto and the Islamic Government in Nigeria have either intimidated or co-opted mainstream media to characterize the Fulani terrorist attacks and land seizures as conflicts between herders and farmers. Furthermore, they have labelled the Fulani terrorists as bandits merely to mislead some uninformed Nigerians and to trick the International Community.

Regrettably, for the Sultan and his Fulani factions, IPOB’s active involvement and awareness-raising among other native ethnic groups via social media has begun to produce outcomes. Presently, the community has recognized the Fulani invaders as those causing terror throughout the whole country.

It has provided numerous professionals with opportunities, partnerships, and community growth. Social media has helped numerous Nigerian youths escape poverty and unemployment that the ineffective Governments in Nigeria failed to address. Social media is neither an individual nor a collective that the Sultan labelled as a terrorist organization.

Sultan may choose to ignore reality, but both Nigerians and the International Community are aware that the Fulani terrorist groups pose a danger to all societies. Social media has played a role in recognizing the foes of humanity.

It has granted numerous professionals the chances, partnerships, and community progress. Social media has elevated numerous Nigerian youths from poverty and unemployment, something the ineffective Governments in Nigeria failed to accomplish. Social media isn’t an individual or a collective that the Sultan labelled as a terrorist group. Sultan may choose to live in denial, but both Nigerians and the International Community are aware that the Fulani terrorist groups pose a danger to any society. Social media has assisted in recognizing the foes of humanity.

The misleading demand from the Sultan of Sokoto to the Islamic Government of Nigeria to prohibit, restrict, or censor social media in Nigeria is doomed from the outset. Nigerians will keep utilizing social media for both professional and personal purposes to reveal the criminals and fraudsters in society.

If the Sultan fears that individuals are leveraging social media to reveal the terrible destruction and cruelty caused by the Fulani terrorists, he ought to simply urge the violent Fulani terrorists to surrender their weapons. We promise the barbaric Fulani terrorists that social media will be employed to stir the dormant giants among the indigenous population in Nigeria to stand and retaliate tit for tat against the radical Islamic terrorists and jihadists known as Fulani terror groups.
